This PDF file is a combination of facts about Intraventricular hemorrhage,

which is mostly caused by premature birth. “Intraventricular hemorrhage is bleeding in or near the ventricles. “ (page 1). It also states the causes and signs of IVH and also what can happen to babies who have an IVH. “A preterm baby’s brain has many tiny fragile blood vessels. After birth, the premature baby’s brain is exposed to changes in blood flow and oxygen levels…the blood vessels to break and bleeding to occur…mostly in babies who are extremely premature…” (page 1). There are grades of IVH and they are: “Grade 1 is bleeding near ventricle, Grade II is blood in ventricle, Grade III enlarged ventricle (from bleeding) and Grad IV enlarged ventricle with blood in brain tissue.” (page 2).

This PDF file is very similar to the things that I have learned in Health science 1 last year. When I researched this last year these are the exact same thing that I found out. I find PDF file to have a little more information then what I had last year, this could be the best one yet since then. This source is helpful for mothers with premature babies, because you want them to be informed on what can happen to their babies, the sighs, prevention, and long-term problems their child may have.
