Purpose: To persuade the audience that getting a PC rather than a Mac is a better purchase.

Intro: Since the release of personal computers, people have been debating on which is better and which they should buy, Mac or PC. These have been the two best and most popular systems since computers revolutionized the world. Both are great computers, but people often overlook the PC, and think Macintosh is better. Despite the Macʼs lower cost of ownership and reliability imply they monopolize over personal computer, the PCʼs infinite capabilities and lower costs make it a better computer to purchase than the Mac. 1. Macintosh computers have been known to be very reliable. A. They donʼt breakdown as much as PCʼs. Making them potentially cheaper in the long run. B. PCʼs are also reliable, but usually would have to be replaced before a Mac would.

C. Macʼs tend to run more smoothly than the average PC. But Windows systems have become less crash prone in recent years due to an upgraded operating system. The sky is the limit in terms of hardware for PCʼs, with everything from bargain basement, bulky, sub $500 desktops and laptops to slick, 11 and 12 inch ultra portable computers.
