Findings

1. Observation in the storeroom

McDonald’s is committed to freshness. McDonald’s has to use fresh ingredients for every food. But there were expired buns and cheese in the storeroom. On February 14, for a package of burger there were used buns those expired at January 31. Also on March 2 there was used cheese that expired before 10 days. This situation is harmful for McDonald’s reputation.

2. Observation in the toilets and restaurant area

Customers always want to eat in a fresh environment. They also want good place and toilets. In this McDonald’s outlet, toilets are not good. There is no towel in paper towel dispenser in the men’s toilets. The doors and windows are not so clean. There are many fingerprints on the door. The floor of the restaurant is not moped regularly. Those situations are creating negative impression for the customers.

3. Observation on staff.

The staff of the restaurant are most important, especially who serving to the public. They have to be clean, fast and active. In this outlet staffs are not so clean. Sometimes they ware dirty uniforms without ironed. They don’t clean their fingernails and don’t comb their hair properly. Staffs are also not very active. They don’t empty the trash, as a result trash bins overflow and makes difficult for customers to dispose their rubbish. There is the shortage of counter, so customers have to wait long time especially in busy lunch time. Sometimes staffs don’t work rapidly and they gossip each other. This is another reason for waiting customers.
