Company Background

DIAB has been at the leading edge of composite core material development for over fifty years. In particular it has pioneered the use of the sandwich concept to make structures that are significantly lighter and stronger than those made from steel, aluminum and wood. The company has also been very much the technology leader in its field. DIAB was instrumental in introducing core kits to enable its customers to speed their fabrication processes, improve quality, reduce inventory levels and cut waste. It has also been in the vanguard of new environment-friendly processing developments such as DIAB Core Infusion Technology.

Today, DIAB is one of world’s largest manufacturers of structural core materials supplying a wide range of markets including marine, wind energy, transportation, aerospace and industry. DIAB has manufacturing facilities on four continents and three research and development centers.

Problem Statement

As the demand for composite core materials has increased globally, DIAB management realizes the need to maintain it competitive advantage by securing its industry leading core products and future plans from market competitors. In the past 5 years, DIAB has experienced a few security incidents that compromised both data integrity and also core production.

Potential Solutions
