Introduction

The rise of nice CEO! This is our topic presentation in Organization Behavior class. First of all we look into the topic, we need define what is a nice CEO, is nice CEO can be high performance CEO or he only treat their employee very well so their employee recognized him as a nice CEO! This is depending on the definition of each party! For shareholder they only want a CEO can be bring the company to another peak, in other word, they only want a CEO who can give them a good result. They wish to get higher return from their investment! However, for the employee, they may be no only look into the business, they also wish a nice CEO can provide them more welfare or benefit in the future. But current is a high performance CEO will treat their employee nice? This will be our topic for this assignment? Will a high performance CEO can be an A—hole CEO?

Normally, we will think a CEO is driven, competitive, and tough! They want their company can beyond their competitor even themselves! One of the supporting examples for this, Samsung and Apple, this two corporation current are a global biggest technology corporation; their competitive have been created many legal disputes between them in many country. However they are still developed steady. Apple has much high creativity talent and Samsung have a lot of high technology skill worker. They have different area talent also create a lot of legal dispute between them. Due to they wish to beyond their competitor and in the same time both of them are involve in same type of business area. This is an impression for community created by them!

However for Robert Sutton, he said: a nice CEO will not be a—hole. For his book “The No Asshole Rule: Building a Civilized Workplace and Surviving One That Isn’t”, he decline to use some euphemisms such as “jerk”, “bully” and etc, and when he done such damage to people, that is what he call himself.
