From the MBA Matrix, I will probably benefit from conducting market research and creating a strategic plan which falls into the category of strategic planning and implementation. It will help to practice by example and doing research within this program to develop a better understanding and hopefully by the end of that course, demonstrate my new-found knowledge by bringing it to meetings and in presentations. In addition to market research, I feel it will also be beneficial to focus on applied business research and statistics because statistics and probability has always been a subject area where I feel needs to be a bit more focused upon because it is a great way to impress executives at meetings and have fun demonstrating key concepts at management meetings. The use of hypothesis, samples and analysis will help the company to advance to the future profitability.

Moreover, one of my key strengths would be in the subject of Managerial Accounting; specifically evaluating financial statements and describing regulation of financial reporting since I work in payroll and constantly deal with financial statements and general ledgers. It also is a topic that I am always interested in developing more knowledge about. By reviewing it more in-depth within the MBA program, it will definitely help me to enhance my performance at work by using what I have learned and combining it with real-life examples to properly understand concepts to explain better to clients and internal employees.

To sum it up, I would say that the MBA Matrix has provided a preview into the near future I will be facing at the University of Phoenix and is much appreciated to someone who is just beginning his MBA at this university. It also helps to prepare for the courses ahead (including this one) and know that at the end of the tunnel, we will definitely touch all the main subject areas affected in business to shape us into professional business people.
