Youth Empowerment

Dignitaries on the dais, organizing committee, participants and volunteers: it is a great honor and privilege to participate in commemorating this day that is, official opening of Rangwe Youth Empowerment Centre on the 12th October 2012. I express my deep gratitude to the district youth development officer, organizing committee and participants who maxim this reality. My deep sense of gratitude is extended to volunteers for your dedicated support to ensure that such a history is monumental in this particular region.

Youth development is of great gratification to our Kenyan financial system as it will ensure that we attain vision 2030 in style. Life is in session .are you present? Positive thinking can be the best means for developing healthy, happy, attitudes towards yourself and others. We must consider this “what we seek, we shall find, what we flee from flees from us’’.most of the time we flee from the things, people, structures, opportunities and miracles that can lead us to a lifetime of happiness. Realizing that each time we face our fear, we gain strength courage, and confidence in the doing, participants will learn the importance of facing our fears in order to succeed life. At last I would like to recite a poem on IDEALS by Helen Steiner Rice which states that by following the ideals we shape our future and get empowered…….

Remember that ideals

are like stars up in the sky

you can never really reach them

hanging from the heavens high…

But like the mighty mariner

who sailed the storm-tossed sea

and used the star to chart his course

with skill and certainty

You too can chart your course in life

with high ideals and love

For high ideals are like stars

that light the sky above…

You cannot ever reach them

but lift your heart up high

and your life will be as shining

As the stars up in the sky …..
