Based on my own opinion as I am also born locally in Malaysia, Robertson should be know that late is a “culture” of Malaysian. Malaysian would rarely attend the function or event on time. For my advice, Robertson should ask his secretary to confirm with everyone to make sure they come on time or call them few hours earlier before the event start to remind them. Next, Robertson thinks that is chance to promote their western culture to their local worker by preparing western food for them, but as Malaysia has so many different religion and I can sure that those local workers would not be any single type of those religion, so for me I would suggest that Robertson should prepare some local food for those who cant accept or doesn’t like western food. For those who are late to attend, as on my opinion, Robertson should be more open and nice as they might have some reason for coming late. Then for those who even bring their whole family to attend, Robertson should not feel angry but should be feel nice to them, as it might be a chance to communicate with his worker and increase teamwork among their worker. For those who didn’t attend and don’t even have a call, Robertson should ask them nicely and listen to their explanation. At last, what I feel is since Robertson is working in Malaysia, he should try to use to all these culture and try to accept them, or on the other way, he can slowly teach them the way (western culture) to their worker, these might work very good and would have less conflict. So there is a must for them to response even they are not attending

Next is the concept of RSVP, a request for a response from the invited person. While an RSVP request does expects responses from both those attending and not attending, there is discussion suggesting many people misunderstand the concept and do not respond if they are not attending.
