* For the specific usage for the engineer * Used primarily for substructure works and infrastructure works on larger developments. | * For private sector project * Specifically for civil engineering, mechanical and electrical works * Procured under the Traditional General Contracting | * Produced in three standard form * IEM Conditions of Contract for Works mainly of Civil Engineering Construction * IEM Standard Conditions of Sub-Contract for use in conjunction with IEM Condition of Contract for Works of mainly Civil Engineering Construction * IEM Conditions of Contract for Mechanical and Electrical Works * Modifications from the ICE, IMECHE, IEE, JCT and FIDIC forms * The IEM form of contract directly from the forms of the Institute, except for the Mechanical and Electrical standard form which follows from the FIDIC standard form. * This form at this moment, are the only domestic standard form of contract which are published for the use in private sector of civil engineering and mechanical and electrical engineering contracts in Malaysia. * All the IEM standard form are re-measurement contracts and contain many provisions similar to PWD standard form of contract which are corresponding to the FIDIC standard form of contract. |
