Flaws of weapon control law We live in a dangerous world where normal human must have a right to protect himself and close ones from any kind of criminal threat using equal power that thugs are providing themselves with, that is why weapons and particularly Firearms should be legal to own. Many countries make their citizens free to own weapons to protect themselves but in most places in this world, any kind of weapon is illegal to carry and sometimes even to own at home.
There are many kinds of weapons that can be used to attack somebody either in criminal act or self-defense, weapons like; Guns, Knives, Batons, Nun-chucks and many more. Every one of these weapons is deadly if person knows how to use them, but most dangerous are considered Firearms and knives because they have higher percentage of criminal use. In Czech Republic any kind of weapon is legal to carry and use in self-defense situation while in most other European countries they are absolutely forbidden and sometimes even illegal to own at home. Funny part is that Czech Republic has one of the lowest levels of criminal activity involving use of deadly weapons and same time has one of the most weapon-tolerating laws in world while other Countries have much more strict laws and significantly higher rate of criminal activity. That shows us that illegality of weapon doesn’t necessary mean the decrease of law breaking.
It is believed by most of the modern world governments that strict weapon control laws will cause decrease of criminal activity but they are wrong, because criminal is always a lawbreaker he will not stop carrying weapon because law tells him to and on other hand normal citizen will obey the law and get rid of weapon, so who gets vulnerable in this situation? Of course normal person because he will not have a chance to protect himself in case of emergency and criminal, will carry and use weapon anyway even if government forbids it.
