Abstract
There are a lot of different types of leadership styles and the most prominent are laissez-faire, autocratic, Initiating structure, democratic and consideration. I chose the Laissez faire style and the Autocratic style because they are the two opposite ends of these fie leadership styles, this makes them totally different and likely to be compared. Autocratic is about control and how much control you should give to people and Laissez faire is reducing the amount of control and direction.
The Autocratic Leadership Style
Pauling (N.D.) This leadership style has to do with control and the perception that you can have of how much control you should person can have. This form of leadership is one of the least convenient if you want to build trusting relationships and making friends. The leader is in complete control and no one is allowed to make suggestions or give an opinion even if it may benefit the group.
Fleming (N.D.) They say that this style is popular between today’s CEOs because they are a lot alike middle time feudal lords. These CEOs are control freaks that want no opinion coming from anyone else and pretend to have a “firm hand on the helm".
Program to reduce stress and increasing productivity
The leader would have to take care of the stress that employees are suffering at first by supervising and understanding the origin of the stress. After he had made these supervising activities he would have to determine rather to make the employees attend to sessions with a psychologist and doing some group therapy or just letting the alleges problem of stress pass.
• Sessions with a psychologist
• Group sessions
• Coaching
