1.1 ABSTRACT

Purpose: This literature review examines the challenges encountered by people of diverse culture and homosexuals at work and how organizations can use organization culture as a diversity and equality management tool.

Originality: Strategic combinations of various theories to better explain opportunities and challenges confronting diversity and equality at work for strategic management and understanding.

2.0 INTRODUCTION

Over the years diversity and equality have been addressed as major obstacle to potential achievement at work, most researchers explained the imperative of these two and the under laying enigma to its actualization (Stonewall, 2008). Since 1970, most Government laws and regulation instituted correctional measure to further demonstrate fairness to all group of people base on gender, race, sexual orientation, public acceptability, interpersonal relationship and tolerance (Levine and Leonard, 1984; Palmer, 1993; Snape et al., 1995).
