I was placed at Transition to Betterness for the VIP program. Like all other VIP placements, Transition to Betterness, is a non profit organization. Transition to Betterness is located on 3200 Deziel Dr. Windsor Ontario, N8W 5K8. Its mission is to dedicate themselves to ensuring comfort for patients who are diagnosed with cancer and those patients' family members. What this charity organization does, is it organizes community events throughout Windsor and Essex County and then they use the money they make from these events to support their many projects. For example, Transition to Betterness is hosting a charity boxing event on Friday Oct. 19th at the WFCU center, and all proceeds they receive and make will be used to run a couple of their projects. Other events that Transition to Betterness is organizing are Kids Kicking Cancer Belting Ceremony on Monday October 22nd, Halloween Harvest Fun Day on Saturday October 27th and many other ones!

Transition to Betterness is performing a lot of services throughout WIndsor through its many projects. Some of those programs are, Hospital Rooms, Concierge Program, Comfort Blankets, Comfort Food Cart, Music Program, Pediatric Oncology Satellite Unit, Paediatric Oncology "Pack the Back Program" and many others. T2B's main program is called Hospital Beds. The main objective of that program is to transform the hospital room setting to more of a homelike setting. The purpose of this is to make the patient feel more like they are home. The main objective of Comfort Blankets is to provide oncology patients with a handcrafted blanket made by volunteers. The music program has musicians come to Windsor Regional Hospitals to play music for patients. Altogether, the main objective of all these programs is to make life more comfortable for hospital patients.

As of now, I have been at the Transition to Betterness Windsor headquarters twice not counting...
