UPDATED APTITUDE QUESTIONS:
In school there are some bicycles and 4 wheeler wagons. One Tuesday there are 190 wheels in the campus. How many bicycles are there?
Let the number of bicycles = b and the no. of wheeler wagons = w
A bicycle has 2 wheels and the wagon has 4 wheels
Under the given condition,
2b+4w=190
b+2w = 85
b = 85-2w

A dragon has 200 heads. A knight can cut 31, 8, 2, 25 or 14 of the dragon's heads. In each case, respectively 25, 2, 26, 7 or 20 of the dragon's heads reappear. The dragon dies if the number of heads that it has becomes exactly zero. Which of the following holds?
A) the dragon will never die
the dragon can, at no point of time, have 3 heads
C) the dragon can, at no point of time, have 4 heads
D)All of these
Answer : D
Explanation : When the knight cuts 31 heads, 25 heads reappear. Thus, the number of heads of the dragon reduces by 31 - 25 = 6
Similarly, when the knight cuts 2 heads, 26 heads reappear. Thus, the number of heads of the dragon increases by 26 - 2 = 24.
Similarly, 8 - 2 = 6, 25 - 7 = 18 and 20 - 14 = 6
Observe that each difference yields a number that is a multiple of 6. The number of heads can only be increased or decreased by multiples of 6. The dragon has 200 heads and 200 is of the form 6n + 2
Thus, if the number of heads keeps on reducing after each cut, the final number of heads = (6n + 2) - 6m = 6(n - m) + 2
Thus, even when n = m, the number of heads that the dragon will have is 2.
We can never get to zero, three or four heads from 200 heads.
Thus, the statements in options 1, 2 and 3 are all true. Hence, option 4.
Cindy has a collection of 80 records. If 40 percent of her records are jazz records, and the rest are blues records, how many blues records does she have?
(A) 32 (B) 40
(C) 42 (D) 48
(E) 50
40% of record out of 80
so (40/100)*80=32
blues record=80-32
=48
