As the saying goes one is never too old to finish something once their mines are made up, in my case it is the compassion of helping others I am 51 years young married to the same beautiful woman for more than 20 years with 3 very handsome son’s two beautiful granddaughters my life is not much different from a rich kids life that never worked a day because what I have come to realize is it is all about the choices we make ourselves. Even though I know nothing about college I drop out of high school at age 17 became street raised my teachers was whomever would educate me to stay alive in the streets. I landed in jails then prison after prisons until something woke up inside of me to better myself, so I got my G.E.D. in 2008 that felt really good I knew that I needed to do more because the young men as well as the older ones would seek me out for advice on how to deal with their problems I would make time to listen to all and only offer advice when ask my goal is to become a counselor this book learning is all new to me, but I am willing ready and able to do what it is I need to do to better educate myself you can’t treat people with just common sense must have the degree if not on the wall at lease be able to show it so I enrolled in a school that have my two most important rules (1) HONESTY (2) INTEGRITY , I did look near for a school, but my search took me far to Ashford University. I do not have any special strategies to do my school work NIKE said it better JUST DO IT I am learning as I go and I am self- induce the obstacle I will face with be life experiences and I will tackle them soberly daily and will not be too proud to ask for help.
