When you take online classes have to have a good knowledge of how the internet works because your definitely going to need it, you need it just to get to your classroom. When you get to you class you will be making yourself familiar with an electric forum. That is where you will be doing discussions with your classmates and teacher. Discussions are very important when it comes to taking classes online. If you have personal things you want to discuss, they have a private inbox just for that, otherwise when the instructor puts an assignment out it will be seen in a threaded discussion so everyone can respond to it. While in class your communication will be mostly responded later for the fact that everyone is not online at the same exact time. You’ll have to post you work and discussion question responses throughout the week. You will always get good feedback from your teacher whenever you get done posting your work. One important thing to remember is the participation that you have to complete 4 out of 7 times a week for points towards your grade. The professor will have an amount of words they want your responses to be and work as well usually amounting to 175-300 words. Most important thing is time commitment; you will have to commit to about 20 hrs per week for online courses.
