As you requested last month, I have put together a report with information regarding the possibility of expanding into a satellite office in Mexico. This report contains information I’m sure you will find useful as well as my recommendations.
While doing my research, I found information on a large number of topics that include location, customs, culture, politics as well as economic standings. My report shows that Baja California would be an ideal location for our satellite facility. The State of Baja California, Mexico is a major manufacturing and industrial power state and is ideal for manufacturers. One of the benefits is access to major trading hubs, including the Pacific Rim and the Asia-Pacific markets. This state also features skilled and trained labor in various aspects of manufacturing.
There are many reasons that CEOs consider when expansion into Mexico crosses their minds. The most frequently thought of advantages are a plentiful labor supply and lower operating costs. Doing business in Mexico can be frustrating, confusing and, at times, impossible for the foreign business person, however. It takes considerable preplanning and knowledge of the specific laws impacting a Mexican business operation for CEOs to find a rate of return that measures up to their expectations.
I want to thank you for the opportunity to research this possible expansion. It was very interesting as well as educational. I was able to find a great deal on information online. If I can help you any further with this project, please feel free to contact me any time at 870-348-5424 or Barbie.Trammell@park.edu.
Sincerely,
Human Resource Manager
