After receiving the guideline for passing this class the only thing I could say was “I am going to fail this class.” I remember like it was yesterday, you told us we had to read every chapter and we have study guides but we had to go through the chapter and find information on each topic. You did not tell me that I would gain self discipline and mind control. I was determined that I was not going read each chapter because I hate reading and that I was not going to be able to pass the test. After the first week of class I realized that college class are the same as high school, the only difference is that you have to make yourself do your work because there is no one there to make you do it.

As the semester went by I was determined that I had to get at least a B average in this class so I knew that I had to do something to make me want to read. The more you lectured to us the more I began to become interest in Criminal justice because you made the class fun and interesting. I enjoyed the movies that we watched in class, they were very informative. I really enjoyed the last movie we watched about the capital punishment. I was not aware of some of the brutal punishments that some people received and are still receiving some countries for committing a crime. I am also amused by the way the prison system has grown. I am very pleased with the way that the law system has changed over the years. I am glad that we as Americans realize that there are other alternatives to punish a criminal besides cutting their hand of for stealing or chopping their heads off for not following certain rules.

I have come to the conclusion that I will receive a B letter grade in this class. I have came up with a master plan study tip that is gradually helping me to read more and also retain the information. I am looking forward to our next test.

I really enjoyed having you as a teacher because you tried to help us and not hurt us. You focused on helping us learn the skills we lacked...
