Executive Summary
This report analyzes five collaborative virtual team tools that encourage and enhance group projects and file sharing. Qwaq is the product of choice by team five. This report will provide recommendations based on research gathered when compared to the other collaborative tools presented.
Virtual Software
Collaborative software tools have made a huge impact of the way companies conduct business domestic and international. Virtual teams are linked by telecommunications that provide an avenue to disperse information efficiently in a world that downsizing the workforce and becoming leaner is the trend. Virtual teams benefit companies by tapping into knowledge and experience not normally available otherwise. There are an abundance of software programs that companies can choose from. Team 5 chose five programs that have the best features and benefits possible. Programs include: Qwaq, Microsoft Groove 2007, Web EX and Hot Office. These programs offer flexibility and integrate well with most operating systems.
Cost Benefits
Pricing varies but some requirements must always be met. Price range varies depending on the number of people in the network and what each company needs may be. Pricing can start around $700 to well over $5000. Each collaborative software tool has readily available customer service support and on line training to assist new members that join the network.
