Obtaining the Ultimate Body

Can you understand the discipline, dedication, and integrity it takes to put your appearance on display? It's not an easy task, and not very many people can handle it. But, if you have the determination to compete in a show, then it can be accomplished. Bodybuilding shows take every minute of your time: planning, working out, dieting, and preparing for the show altogether. You have to have a vision. It may seem the simplest aspect, but it may just be the most important component. You have to envision your future physique, really focus on what you can accomplish, and envision your potential. Picture what you would look like just before walking on stage. It seems as simple as flexing in front of an audience, but by saying that, you don't have a clue to what it actually entails. Here are some simple guidelines to actually competing as a bodybuilder.

First, set some goals in terms of weight, strength, body fat percentage, and personal wellness. Set these goals realistically; don't set them so high that it is impossible to even come close. Set goals to motivate you through the process, weekly, monthly, or bimonthly. You need to know what you want to change about yourself before you start changing. For example, if you have weaknesses in your chest or legs, then set strength or thickness goals for your chest and legs.

Second, you need to prepare mentally by acquiring the information about the show beforehand. Find out the specifications on the competition: how long the routine needs to be, what mandatory poses you need in sync, what form of steroid testing they are using, hotel and billing information, and other important rules that they require. Also, you need to have the right mindset; as a result you need to get motivated using many different kinds of inspirational tools.
