Kudler Fine Foods was founded in the late nineties by Kathy Kudler in an attempt to fit the needs of a customer-base interested in purchasing specialty foods from around the globe in one convenient location. Service request SR-KF-013 has tasked this group with developing the requirements for a frequent shopper program recognized at all three Kudler locations in the state of California and other locations. Per the customer’s request, the frequent shopper program will accomplish the following:

The objective of this project request is to track purchases of individual customer’s. The customer purchases will be tracked and accumulated as loyalty points for redemption by the customer for gift items, specialty foods and other products or services as made available through partnerships with outside companies.

Through the successful implementation of this program, a number of goals will be achieved that benefit both the store and the customer.

Goals

The initial goals of this program are to increase store revenue and customer satisfaction however, the program will also encourage a number of other positive changes for the store. Through tracking customer purchases, Kudler will begin to develop trend analysis based on what their customers buy. Essentially, customers vote through their purchases and will indicate to Kudler items they prefer versus items they do not. This has the potential of helping Kudler make stock decisions that could prevent waste, save money, and show the customers that Kudler is listening.

Scope

The scope of this project should be directly related to implementing a frequent shopper program at Kudler Fine Foods stores. Every attempt will be made to consider a number of options and alternatives when developing the program for Kudler that maintain the integrity of the scope and prevent scope creep.
