Jamaica Broilers Group Limited, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the production and distribution of poultry, ethanol, animal feeds, and agricultural items in Jamaica. The company operates in three segments: Poultry Operations, Feed and Farm Supplies, and Ethanol Operations. The Poultry Operations segment involves in rearing poultry for fertile egg production and for sale; broiler processing and sale; and the sale of started pullets. The Feed and Farm Supplies segment engages in the manufacture and sale of feeds and the sale of farm supplies. The Ethanol Operations segment involves in the processing and export sale of fuel grade ethanol. The company also engages in the sale of feed ingredients; cattle rearing; the contract processing of hydrous alcohol into anhydrous ethanol; feed milling; the processing and sale of salted products/pickled products; and processing and sale of beef products, as well as in importing protein products. In addition, it involves in fish farming, property rental, electricity generation, and captive insurance operations; procures and distributes agricultural and industrial supplies; and operates as an ocean freight consolidator. The company’s customers include supermarket chains, wholesalers and retail distributors, hotels, contract farmers, wholesalers, farm store and feed customers, and chicken and fish farmers. Jamaica Broilers Group Limited was founded in 1958 and is based in St. Catherine, Jamaica.
