The bad affect of internet addiction on teenagers.

The use of the Internet offers a variety of benefits to everyone who is willing to use it. The enormous amount of information available and the many uses one through the internet have made it the most valuable tool in various settings of a person’s life. It also offers a powerful source for deliverable shopping and provides communication services efficiently without any cost. The availability of online media, social networking, news sources and gaming online makes it a virtually perfect entertainment machine.

However, I strongly disagree with that claim since internet brings some negative effects such as internet addicts, waste of too much time on internet and it’s impact on people health.

First of all, we should know that Internet addiction is classified the same as other addictions, such as those to drugs, alcohol or gambling. Addict to Internet also causing new generation to be in front of computer all night and day, which is making them to think that becoming social and to meet friends, is not important. It is also harmful because children can also get access to adult content which is available on internet easily. We are now days totally dependent on internet which is in turn making youth lazy as no one is ready to go out and do jobs or play. In addition, this bad effects is leading us to face with another problems which could easily realize in young generation’s behavior.

Then, we come to the second bad effectiveness that is with all the time wasted on computers, we have become increasingly inactive and made us feel bored with something so called “real” social activities.

Research from the American Heart Association shows that teen spends an average of 20 hours a week in front of a computer or TV.
