Based on what you have learned regarding expressions and emotion in Ch. 10, discuss the following scenario: Referring to the graphic that is attached, what do you think the person in the picture is feeling? How do you think a person of a different gender or different ethnicity might react differently to this same situation?

The image portrays a woman in what appears to be an alleyway after nightfall with what appears to be a shadow figure of a man in the background. I think the person in the picture is feeling the emotion of fear because she perceives danger from the dark figure in the background of the image. The emotion of fear is often followed or accompanied by the fight or flight response which or body triggers when it is threatened in some manner. I think a person of a different gender or different ethnicity might react differently to this same situation in many different ways. For example, a man may not exhibit fear the same as a woman would in the same situation. i am not sure how differently a person of a different ethnicity would react in the same situation because I believe that emotion is universal across ethnic lines but can differ greatly across gender lines and in the expression of emotions.
