Introduction

1.0 Overview

The haze we see in our city skyline is caused by tiny particulates suspended in the atmosphere. At high concentrations, these particulates scatter and absorb sunlight resulting in diminished horizontal visibility thereby giving the atmosphere a characteristic opalescent appearance. Haze is not confined to urban environments; it may also be observed in rural areas.

The health effects of haze have been subject to intense study in recent year. Exposure to air pollutants such as particulate matter and ozone with increased mortality and hospitalization rates due to respiratory and cardiovascular system diseases. The research which involves the haze in the short-term, day-to-day changes in health, long-term research which have followed cohorts contact over time these effects have been found. Effects have seen exposed to very low levels is unclear whether there is a threshold concentration of respirable particulate matter and ozone below, will not impact on human health. In this article, we will discuss selected the haze of the evidence of adverse health effects by Brunekreef and Hulgate (2002).

Datuk Talib Zulpilip as assistance Minister, the Borneo (2012), he says that “there is no negative impact in term of tourist arrivals. Certain countries are even worse than us in air conditioner. In other hand, Tourism Malaysia director-general Taiyab M.M. (2006), agree that said most of the country's tourist destinations are not affected by the haze and pollution levels are not alarming. Besides that, Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents research and technology vice-president Lee C.L also said it has not received any complaints from its members so far. Thus, this research will find out that haze will effected to the arrived visitor to Malaysia.

This research will study whether the haze will affect tourist, we take a case study approach, focusing on Kuala Lumpur.
