1. From the material in the case, does Company T have a shared culture?

After going through the case study, we observed that company “T” has a shared culture because starting from the plant manager to the lowest level of the subordinate no one in the organization follows business ethics.

Between the two departments there is a cut throat competition to achieve more numbers. Mangers referred to the company culture as jungle and worker as animal, hence in a jungle to survive all the members need to adopt the jungle rule and referring to the organization as jungle we can perceive that it is a shared culture

There is a lack of trust and there is no clean healthy competition between the departments, as no one wants to take the responsibility for the error and mistakes. The assistant cheats and lies to get plant manager off his back. Company ‘T’ has a very aggressive and a distinctive management style because it seems that every one is craving for attentions by representing this culture. The members of the company seem to be in a self-defensive mode in constant fear of being exposed or humiliated. Considering these values are shared between the members, hence facing a big threat to the company directly and no one wants to fix even the smallest problem because there is lack of recognition And if they fix up a problem few times then it would become a extra baggage for them. There is no superior in the company whom subordinates can idolize or look up to. So hence to conclude everyone in the company shares the same culture to maneuver the way out of problems.

The company has a loose culture because they have no ethics or strict lines to work on and no means of measuring key performance indicators which drives a business rather the focus of employee of company T is to get the job done.

The simple rule applies to this company is that” you can’t improve what you can’t measure hence employee goof up things all the time....
