1 John 5:11 - 13

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

This past few days has been very difficult for me because of the review for final exams and completion of requirements. It gave me worries and distress that I wasn’t able to prioritize the most important thing living as a Christian. Even though I have been a Christian for so long there still so many questions unanswered. While reading this scripture it made me realize that I am no longer living for Christ that hinders me from experiencing God’s fullness in my life. It’s like chasing over the wind that I forgot why I live, for who I live, and why I need to live. What struck me about this verse is that how God prioritizes us and even labeled as the most important creation. I felt when Jesus died for us it’s like setting someone free from his death penalty because of how cruel he live and even taking the blame. Now that’s what I call “True Love”. I began to understand the meaning of life that God is the real Hero that He is the reason why the captives have been freed, why David defeated Goliath, and why I am here. It’s like in the movie God is the star of the show. I have been living selfishly that I only pray to God when I am in need or suffering. Every time I suffer I keep grumbling against God in fact my suffering is the result of my disobedient towards God. This week God taught me that there two types of suffering first is the result of disobedient and the second is the way a Christian is. When we obey God a lot of trials will come that would be a time for growth or a time of testing but if we disobey God the pain is the result of sin towards God. God placed a motto in my life that even though I fail Him, He never fails me. Whenever I think about “Eternal...
