According to Morse employee satisfaction has a considerable relation with promotion possibility. Superior - subordinate relationship and cooperative and affectionate attitude and approach of superior may also influence job satisfaction level of the subordinates though much empirical work has not been done in his area. If the workers get adequate opportunity to hear and to be head by the top management, it may increase job satisfaction as revealed by studies of Michael. According to vroom - there exist a relationship between job satisfaction and opportunity for self-expression in work. The factor which lead of job satisfaction may brought under 2 broad categories that is those relating to event and conditions in work settings and those pertaining directly to people involved in them. In former there would be, higher job satisfaction, but not too tiring. Regarding factors involving other persons, it was found that job satisfaction is facilitated by superior, subordinate and coworkers who share major values.

According to Feldman and Arnold ":lob satisfaction will be defined as the amount of overall positive affect (or feelings) that individuals have towards their jobs".

Locke defined job satisfaction as "a pleasurable or positive emotional state resulting from the appraisal of one's job or job experience"

Du Grins has defined job satisfaction in terms of pleasure and contentment when he says that "Job satisfaction is the amount of pleasure or contentment associated with job. If you like your job intensely; you will experience high job satisfaction. If you dislike your job intensely, you will experience job dissatisfaction"

Keith Davis has defined the job satisfaction as "job satisfaction is the favorableness or un favorableness with which employees view their work".
