Thank you for allowing me to recommend the art decoration in your office and waiting room. These areas are the first impression perceived by our clients therefore I believed the displays of art should reflect what we are striving for. Looking through history of Arts, paintings from the nineteenth century will suited the purposes. This is particular truth with impressionist and post-impressionist paintings. The two painters come to mind are Claude Monet and Vincent Van Gogh. I recommend using Monet’s Impression: Sun rise, Woman in Garden, The Port of Argenteuil and Van Gogh’s Enclosed field with rising sun, Seascape at Saintes-Maries, the White Orchard paintings for your office and the waiting area.

Impressionism is more than an art movement it introduces new ideas and inspires painters and sculptors to express their artistry in new directions (Impressionism, 2012). Prior to early nineteenth century, arts were more about traditional, religious, historical or mythological subjects. It made use of dark, deep rich colors painted meticulously on smooth surface hiding the artist’s brushstrokes (Impressionism, 2012). The painting was done in door partly because of the fear of paint dried out (Sayre, 2012). Impressionist paintings were often rejected for its subjects and incompleteness. A group of impressionists which included Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, Camille Pissarro and later Paul Cezanne, Auguste Renoir, Alfred Sisley and Berthe Morisot formed their own exhibits thus marked the new approach to art and provided opportunities for other impressionists (Impressionism, 2012). Impressionist paintings are notable for its en plein air, outdoor painting. They are depiction of artist’s impression. It is what the artist saw at that fleeting moment.
