Organizations have been described as a group of people who work towards a sole purpose. Studying organizational behavior will help us understand how people act and react in organizational settings, the knowledge that is obtained from this study will help managers and as well as employees to understand and control organizational events. Individuals, groups, and structure are the three determinants of behavior to help make organizations more effective. The behavior of the people affects the performance of the organization greatly. There are five behavior disciplines, psychology, sociology, social psychology, anthropology and political science that contribute to organizational behavior. Managers today have challenges and opportunities to use organizational behavior concepts. One of the most important challenges that an organization is facing is a diverse work environment. All the organizations today are all becoming more heterogeneous. For management to understand the concepts of organizational behavior will help them facilitate all the needs of diverse workforce.

Organizational behavior is actions and attitudes of individuals and groups towards one another and towards the organization as a whole, and its effect on the organizations functioning and performance (Business Dictionary, 2010). Studying all of the behavior you are more aware of business ethics and able to find all the ways to transfer the employee’s attitudes and able to get a more positive experience for everyone that is involved. Organizations do believe that being ethical is a good business practice and it will pay off in the end. For one to be ethical requires treating everyone properly and fairly. Trust is a big part of the growth of a company. So they have to establish trust with the employees and customers. It is important to improve the employee and employer relationship.
