The different steps for the standard SDLC is a completely documented process to complete a successful product. It is good for those projects that provide enough time to complete. The different steps are:

Planning – time spend to determine what type of software tries to create depending on the need or purpose. Estimate Value (if really will be effective or needed), Cost and profits of the project before the start

Analyze requirements including clarity, completeness, requirements and dependency. Also the input and outputs of the phase to confirm what need to be done according to the previous output in order to see if meet the criteria before designing it.

Design- The responsibility is to define what technology required for the development. Ensure that all functional planning is done and documented before continuing.

Development – is the one responsible to make sure the final product meets client expectation and ensure follow the proper protocol to create the expected product. It can be the most time consuming because is so important ensure the quality and proper functionality before testing. Transferred information to a software or product required. Also ensure everything is ok before get to the testing process.

Testing- Different type of test are provided to produce according to previous documented process to ensure all possible bugs or error are corrected before the product is considered done and get ready to be sell or provide to the client as previously requested.

Maintenance – (Troubleshooting and help desk service) This is the guarantee to provide any type of service including updates to guarantee the functionality of the product. It continues for the life of the product.

Thru the SDLC the best way to resolve any future issue is better if the time during each step is capture and documented. It is a kind of diary created during each process that assist to determine future issues during the process and is annotated in order to get better maintenance...
