1. Gender bias continues to manifest within society when it comes to salaries between
women and men. Employers usually promote and pay men more than they will a
woman. In our society we experience gender bias with abortions when women make
the determining decision to keep a baby that has been produced by woman and man.
There are men who do want to be a father and are willing to take on the responsibility
but they are not given a place to make a decision with the mother of the child.
2. The fallacy of retrospective is the argument that things could not have worked out any
other way than they did. The fallacy of circular reasoning is the use of conclusions to
support assumptions that were necessary to make the conclusion. The fallacy of
retrospective argument and circular reasoning manifest within society
3. The chart shows that women have occupations as if they were still a stay at home wife.
Many women are nurses, teachers, laundry/dry cleaners, and also carry management
positions. In the home setting years ago the woman of the house will
cook, clean, wash and fold, educate the children, and be sure all household duties
were taken care of while the man would be out working to support the home.
4. The “beauty myth” is definitely real. In our society there are millions of women who
have had numerous of plastic surgeries and there is millions with the desire to have some
type of cosmetic surgery. Everyday on magazines, television shows, commercials,
movies, music videos they display what the “beauty” of a woman should look like.
Women will do whatever it takes to fulfill that image. Women with short hair or thin hair
will wear weaves to have long full hair, nose surgeries, liposuction, butt shots, and many
more just to portray an image the media is revealing. Body image is a big issue to
women because it can hurt their self-esteem, keep them from being depressed, sexual
habits...
