Anorexia cause and effect

Anorexia is a condition that affects every part of you, your body, and your mind. In the world that we live in, where on every magazine cover, every tv show, and even in your home room, you see beautiful, skinny girls that seem to have everything they want. They seem to be popular, always happy, and have the perfect body. Many girls that are just beginning to go through adolescence feel that to be these perfect girls, they have to be skinny. They turn to anorexia. Anorexia is a serious eating disorder that affects women and men of all ages. It can damage your health and even threaten your life. When you have anorexia, the desire to lose weight becomes more significant than anything else.

The effects of anorexia nervosa are a complex psychological and physical disorder in which a person starves themselves. People who have Anorexia Nervosa may have a number of effects which can be categorized as either physical or emotional in nature. The list of possible consequences is numerous and it can include death. Anorexia, if left untreated, it can be a dangerous and life-threatening condition but most effects can be improved or reversed if the proper treatment is given. Hormones also affect anorexia. Sex hormones are also affected. Another effect of anorexia nervosa is impotence in men and low sex drive in both males and females.

Anorexia can cause damage in the heart, as well as the organ in the cardiovascular system that may be affected by anorexia. The blood itself may also be damaged. Abnormal blood counts and anemia are not uncommon. Having another mood disorder such as anxiety, depression, or a personality disorder also increase risk for Anorexia. The biological causes of anorexia that have been identified as risk factors include genetics and biochemistry.
