Kudler Fine Foods is in the process of upgrading to newer accounting software. This will help the company stay efficient and also help them manage multiple stores around the country. The software that is chosen must be user friendly and updated easily. The software must have different modules that can adapt to the different departments through out the company. Choosing the right accounting software, will allow the employees to submit their own time cards. This will make it easier on managers to track the payroll. This will result in fewer mistakes and a money savings in the long run.
The accounting system that is chosen must have an inventory system as an option. The benefit to this system is that it will allow the company to track the inventory ad purchases in their stores. This would allow local managers and administrators to immediately forecast future inventory and purchases. This will also solve many of the challenges in the inventory department and will allow us to market some specific items to the customers. The new system will also allow for the use of hand held scanner system. This will allow the stores to scan items and see when the last time an item was purchased and the quantities. This will aid the store managers to track trends and save them money in their orders. Having multiple stores around the country, ordering becomes a nightmare. Using the scanners, will allow each store to communicate with a central system. The central system can look at that stores order and also communicate with the accounting department to look at that stores budget. This system will also allow for monthly profit-loss reports that will give an overall picture of each store.
