Introduction

The thesis of our research was to conduct a business in China that we could make investments in by exporting and importing the product. We chose to invest in the birth control policy of China. Everyone is well aware of Chinas “one child per family policy” that is still implied today. Our research shows why the policy is in place, the birth control that is being used today and to prevent more of a population growth. Our product of this research will show you the many steps into the economy of China that allows the country to run smoothly and to show how birth control is implemented. We have many topics in our paper that will intrigue our reader to understand the investments of China and how China’s economy manifest with foreign trade.

“One child policy” and Birth control

China is known for its enormous population that is the highest in the world. They currently have about 1.2 billion or about twenty-one percent of the world’s population. Everyone worldwide has heard of China’s “one child per family policy” to help maintain that the population growth did not exceed the target goal. Many citizens would be offered special benefits if they agreed to the policy and this means they would have to receive a birth certificate before the birth of their child. If families wanted to have more than one child, they would either be taxed up to fifty percent of their income, or get terminated from their jobs and also lose other benefits, but they also allowed families that had a daughter first to have a second child.

The government implied targeted goals for different regions that were monitored by the local authorizes to make sure the population did not exceed the targeted goal and if it did, they would be punished for lose certain privileges, but sometimes they falsified the numbers to avoid being punished.
