In todays work environments theirs different processes and procedures followed in organizations. Organizations have processes in place to help build structure to ensure the needs of the clients are met. Organizations leaders and employees create Flowcharts to help as a guide for processes. A flowchart is helpful and provides excellent documentation of the flow of a process. It helps with maintaining a processes and understanding the flow of a process.
This paper explains the design of a flowchart process and the steps to take within the dishwashing process. This paper explains how it possible to have bottlenecks in a dishwashing process.
Design a Flowchart Process
Select a process that you do daily but would like to spend less time doing, such as driving to work.
The selected process is washing dishes as the illustration of the flow chart.
Design a flowchart using an appropriate tool.
To design the flowchart I will use the features of Microsoft Word. A flowchart provides the flow and design of a process. It helps to understand a system process and design for analysis in process improvements and developing of a working system or process.
Comment on the factors that affect the process design. Identify at least one metric to measure the process.
The factor that affects the design process in washing dishes is the water temperature, and the sufficient amount of water in the sink. The water temperature and adequate water level is the decision factors in the performance steps.
The steps involved in washing dishes are:
1. Begin with cleaning the sink.
2. Discard and remove food off dishes.
3. Rinse all dishes.
4. When dishes are scraped and rinsed. Fill up the sink halfway with warm or hot water.
5. Add two tablespoons of dishwashing liquid in the running water.
