What is my product?

The marketing plan proposal that I am creating is called, “Marvis D’Shon Tutorial Services,” with the main focus of school age children from Pre kindergarten 3 to the 2nd grade (who have not taken the TAKS test). I will work with your child on reading, spelling, math, and writing. I will focus on these four subjects because they set the foundation of a great student. Some of the items that I will use are: flash card with the 26 alphabets, basic math factors (numbers 1 to 100, addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication), sight words for all levels, computer programs and DVD programs. I will not move forward until your child understands what they are doing. As I see it our problem is that we just expect every child to learn on the same path as the other children.

Who are they?

My services are targeted toward the parent of children attending Mainland Preparatory Academy in La Marque ISD who have not taken the TAKS test. The TAKS test is mandatory for the state of Texas. The children will not start taking this test until the 3rd grade. My tutorial services will help your child with basic reading and math skills they will need to pass the TAKS test. Our pre-kindergarten 3-2nd grader should bring the reading and math test score above the state’s average. At Mainland Preparatory Academy we strive for excellent. We do not want any child left behind. One unmet need that we as parent cannot afford the expensive tutorial services that are offered in our area, so we just try to make do with what we have. I am proposing an inexpensive tutorial services.

Why would anyone want to buy it?

According to my research on www.greatschools.org Mainland Preparatory Academy 3rd grade TAKS score is below the state average of 92%. From 2006-2010 MPA 3rd grade score have went from 92 % to 87%.
