Technology & Training and Development

Technology has an influence on businesses from all types of industries and is felt throughout multiple departments within a company.

My research and analysis will be focused on the training aspect of human resources and the influence of technology on training methods. I will take a closer look at the main concerns of human resource managers and how those concerns put a spotlight on training methods. I will also identify new human resources technologies and determine if these new tools are having or will have a positive or negative impact on human resource practices. I also look down the road and take a look at what new human resource tools may be coming in the future. Let us first take a closer look inside the minds of human resource managers and the needs and concerns they have for their industry that create an opportunity for new technologies to enter the market.

There was a survey published in PR Newswire that asked 500 human resource managers what their top business concerns are. According to a survey conducted by the staffing agency, Office Team, nearly half of those mangers answered that their main human resource concern is training and development. It is believed that training has multifunctions the executive director of Office Team, Robert Hosking, said in the PR Newswire article, “As workers take on expanded responsibilities , it becomes more important for companies to offer professional development to help their teams keep up. Training programs boost job satisfaction for employees by enabling them to build new skills and take on more challenging roles.” I also believe that employees' self confidence will increase ilyimatly creating and employee that is more productive, innovative, and will seek out new opportunities within the company which can only benefit the overall success of the company.
