Types of Smokers

Today, I would like to present about The Types of Smokers among people nowadays. Smokers can be categorized in four categories which are Casual Smoker, Light Smoker, Heavy Smoker and Chain Smoker. It will make us easy to find out the differences of smokers by classifying them.

Most of smokers start smoking when they in their teens and that habit make them addicted to smoke until being adult. Smokers have their own reasons of smoking such as for enjoyment, stress relief, weight control and peer pressure. When I was doing this research, I can classify those smokers into several types as I mention earlier and now I will explain to you about types of smokers.

Firstly, smokers who usually smoke to socialize with friends are being classified as Casual Smokers. They will smoke in a certain condition or situation such as in weekend parties. They also will smoke at a certain place such as food court. They commonly smoke to strengthen their friendship among their friends. Casual smokers are not considered as real smokers because they are not addicted to nicotine even though they might be addicted to smoke.

Secondly, smokers who smoke between half or one of cigarette pack a day can be classified into Light Smokers. Usually they are beginners and cannot leave the habit of smoking but they ashamed of it. Sometimes, they will not smoke when family and friends are around them. However, they admit that they are smokers but they will stay away from other people around them when they are smoking. Some of light smokers smoke less than other smokers because they do not want to gain their weight especially female smokers. They realize that smoking habit will cause their weight to increase so they try to lessen the habit.

Thirdly, Heavy Smokers usually smoke about two or three packs of cigarette. Smoking habit helps them to reduce their stress and pressure is one of the factors why they being categorized in heavy smokers. It commonly happens when someone racing to meet the...
