Introduction

The evolution of organizations can be rooted to prehistoric times and continues to this very day. Organizations and business will continue to transform and evolve to pace itself with the ever changing world. Teams and organizations have always dealt with change and will continue to do so. Currently, teams and organizations encounter fast-paced changes. Globalization, automation, and other factors have altered the markets causing high opportunities for growth and revenue, thus the need for constant change. With ever-growing opportunities individuals have many options for where to turn in terms of jobs. Management however has to try keeping up with the changes in order to maintain their workforce and organization. This is where organizational change comes into play? First of all, what is organizational change? It’s when changes are made in the whole company. These can be implemented via changes through restructuring in departments or changes in work culture or policies.

Since changes are always taking place; organizational change can be for the best or worst for a company. The organization that I have chosen is one that I currently work for which is Wal-Mart Canada. They are an ever growing corporation which is constantly changing and is a perfect example for this case.
