COMPLETE THE ADVISING SHEET TO DEVELOP A FEASIBLE PROGRAM

FOR COMPLETING YOUR DEGREE IN ACCOUNTING

-------------------------------------------------

Directions for completing advising sheet

1. Enter the date and grade for all classes completed in the far left column.

2. Put a check (√) next to all classes in which you are currently enrolled.

3. Label the following columns for each semester you plan on taking classes, including summers.

4. Choose (at most) two Accounting classes per semester and then fill in your program with Business core classes and segment III or GE classes.

For example, if you plan on graduating at the end of the spring 2013 semester, you should plan to interview during the fall 2012 semester. Because this can be time-consuming and stressful, you may want to adjust your workload during the interview semester.

Do not fall into the trap of feeling you are behind due to repeating a class and trying to make it up by taking more classes the following semester. This, many times, results in an even poorer performance and possible probation.

3. Do not schedule two especially difficult classes in the same semester. It is generally not recommended that you take ACCT 302 and ACCT 305 in the same semester. ACCT 302 is generally considered more difficult than ACCT 301 and ACCT 305 is also very demanding.

4. Most classes are offered every semester but there are a few that are...
