The Working Conditions in the Industrial Revolution

In the second half of the 19th century, the industrial Revolution in England had a huge transformation such as politics, economy, society, culture, science and technology. However, during the Industrial Revolution period in England was darkness and hardest working conditions for labors. There are some similarities and differences in conditions for working people today in America with those for working people during the Industrial Revolution in England. Working conditions, child labor, and health problem are the main transformations between the Industrial Revolution in England and in the China now.

Working condition for people who worked in the Industrial Revolution was different form China now. During the Industrial Revolution period, people were working in a dangerous situation, and accidents were caused all the time. Hours of work in factories were unbelievably long. Workers worked form sunrise to sunset. Laborers who work for 14 to 16 hours and half an hour off meal were standard. Laborers were gotten less payment. They couldn’t even take care of themselves. Therefore, it was more difficult for them to support their family. Nowadays, a developing country such as China has good working conditions. In China, workers work 8 to 9 hours a day. They often work from 7AM to 5PM and have at least 2 hours break time in the afternoon. Each week, they have 2 days off and sometimes they have group activities. For example, my father always has group activity with his colleagues in his corporation such as BBQs, basketball matches, and having dinner together. According the working conditions in China today, we can think how darkness and hardest time for laborers who worked in the Industrial Revolution.

Not only the working conditions during the Industrial Revolution and in China now are different, but also child labor. No matter how adults worked so hard, children also had to work in the Industrial Revolution period....
