Job enrichment: is designing or redesigning a business by incorporating motivational factors into it. (Nelson & Quick, 2013, p. 232). One way to create the project is to automate it and have Alan, Brenda and Curtis will go through a week of teaching learning how to manage all three machines.

The three machine operators will have greater responsibilities as the system is moving

at a fast pace, and they will have different titles and a guarantee that the company has listened to

their complaints.

Employees need to know that what they do matters, Studies have found that found that intrinsic job satisfaction and job perceptions are reciprocally related to each other (p. 233) By giving the employee a job a title and having the CEO and management come and listen to the employees suggestions breaks down vertical differentiation (p.247). Encouraging each employee using these elements instills pride and personal accountability throughout the company. Employees will start feeling a sense of pride and personal responsibility because they know they matter and are making a difference.

Job Rotation a variation of job enlargement exposes a worker to a variety of specialized job tasks over time (Nelson & Quick, 2013, p. 232). Each of the three employees will perform other tasks after learning all three positions in the assembly line. They will receive a spreadsheet of how much profit the company makes by using the machines, and will come up with suggestions to strengthen the process, thereby increasing profit and productivity. They will participate in an outreach program and teach students the responsibility of running a business.

Giving the employees a variety of jobs to do, will reduce the amount of boredom they face every day. Accomplishment in teaching others is worthwhile and beneficial to employees and students.
