Ethical and social issues in Air Asia

Air Asia nowadays has grown rapidly but in order to fulfill their company tagline ‘Now everyone can fly’ they have took the ethic and social responsibility by acquired two Ambulifs. Those two are in Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu . Ambulifs are convenient automobiles that can ease the movement of disabled passengers from the main terminal buildings to the aircraft and also from aircraft to the main building. By upgrading those facilities, Air Asia can accommodate passengers with limited mobility. Thus, the numbers of Air Asia passengers are increasing continuosly.

Besides, Air Asia also has their social responsibility toward elder people and kids travelers.The priority will be given to older people and those with kids. They can board the aircraft first and then following by the rest of the passengers. Air Asia is giving the priority as the sense of humanity of the company as the older people and those with kids is not convenient to queue for longer time. Thus, when we are at the boarding gate,the Air Asia staff will announce for the priority for those people.

The challenge facing by Air Asia

* AirAsia believes to compete in the airline industry, it must be cost-efficient and profitable, and it must create value. Costs that do not add value must be contained, reduced and even eliminated.

As Air Asia is one of the main low cost carrier in Asia, they have to compete with other competitor in those country which also offering low cost flight to the customer. But by giving the lowest fare to the passengers, they still have to create the customer value and satisfy the customer need. So that, the customer will loyal to their company.Thus, Air Asia has to cut the cost that do not has value added such as the cost of printing ticket which the passengers can check in and print ticket by themselves. These are the challenges that they have to face in order to be in the industries which they have concern about those element....
