According to O'Connor (2004), “Everything is in the way the material is composed” (pg. 387). The negativity you receive after someone has misconstrued an event in your life is one of the horrific factors you deal with biased media. How does specific media bias affect how news is interpreted and delivered? There are plenty of factors to be included when it comes to a bias media, some of those factors are: False accusations, exaggeration for ratings, and manipulating what we think and believe. It looks like if the American people don’t get a mind of their own then a bias media is going be around for a long time. The fact that people have been manipulated by the media makes it hard to prove that the media is biased.

Biased media has an immense impact on everyone whether you realize it or not. It can manipulate, make you believe something and confuse you. This all can happen if you watched the news, read an article, or heard someone mention something. Reality is that the outcome of biased media can influence false accusations and may affect the lives of those involved. Those affected by the lies, betrayal and manipulation are not only hurt but also frightened. One of those cases is “Ricky Williams” also known as Errick Lynne “Ricky” Williams Jr., a former running back for the NFL. Ricky, known as Bragg (2012), “the greatest running back in the NFL” (P. 1) was loved by his fans until he was suspended for testing positive for the use of marijuana. When the news broke, the media went ballistic to knit pick every flaw Ricky had and reported them as Williams being a selfish coward for choosing marijuana over football and his faithful fans. Raging fans were disappointed and Ricky became a self-conscious, lost and confused person who had several obstacles to overcome due to the way events were stated by the media.
