Being an only child in family sometimes could be quiet hard, although it has some advantages too.

To begin with, being an only child in a family forms a selfish personality. Only child almost never learns how to share with other people, or put at least sometimes other’s needs before his or her own. For example singleton will rarely offer possibility to be first to play computer game to friend instead of himself or herself. This kind of behaviour not only insults and hurts other’s feelings, but also makes difficult to communicate with people.

Furthermore, singletons often feel lonely, and this feeling pushes them to find finding friends, sometimes in very tiresomely ways. For instance, singleton meets new kids in school. At first he or she acts normally, but later they wants to communicate more with those kids and they starts to annoy other kids, which makes things complicated between these people.

What is more, is hard to be an only child in family, because all parent attention is pointed at you, and you often feel like you have no freedom. For example, you want to go out with friends and when you mention this to your parents, they starting to ask tones of questions, like when you will get home and so on. Those kind of questions not only upset you, but also keeps you out from going out with friends if parents are not satisfied with answers.

On the other hand, you do not have to be worry of sharing room and belongings with someone, you could also go on more expensive holiday’s trips because you have to pay only one child’s price in hotel or something like that, not 2 or more.

To summary, being only child in family is has advantages just materially, because you do not have to share. In other ways, it is huge disadvantage to be only child in family.
