1. Prerequisites: The course requires satisfactory completion of ACT 210 and ECON 202.

2. Required Course Materials:

A. Textbook: Personal Financial Planning, Theory and Practice,, 7th Edition, (Kaplan Schweser)

B. Supplemental Readings and Handouts: To be distributed on RamCT.

C. Calculator: A financial calculator is required for this course. The Texas Instruments BA-II Plus is recommended. I will be demonstrating problems in class using the TI-BA-II Plus calculator and you are encouraged to follow along in class with your own calculator. Per department rules, programmable calculators and calculators that store text such as the TI-83 are not permitted during exams. If you have any questions as to whether your calculator is permitted see me before the exam. Unapproved calculators will be confiscated during the exam.

D. iClicker: You are required to have an iClicker remote for in-class participation and quizzes. In order to receive this credit, you will need to register your iClicker remote online by the second day of class. After you get your iClicker go to clicker.colostate.edu/registration.aspx. Login with your eID and password. In the iClicker ID field, enter your remote ID and select the "Register" button. The remote ID is the number found on the back of your iClicker remote. iClicker will be used every day in class, and you are responsible for bringing your remote daily. New and used iClickers are available at the bookstore.
