Leadership Experience Analysis

We must look at the meaning of leadership in order to distinguish if a person has the capabilities to be a leader, young or old. Revealing and unlocking potential of a person is a determent also of being a leader of any organization. It takes a lot to be a leader, not just giving instructions of what to do, but being able to inspire their staff and helping them obtain the goal that was or will be laid before them to accomplish.

To be a good leader, a person cannot just read books, go to seminars and look at video tapes. Good leadership is art that is learned from getting the experience. Observing my working environment, I found that the young public leaders are usually effective because they focus on being a successful leader versa being in effective. The younger generation may feel that the older generations are effective due to them bringing fresh energy, hunger for knowledge and new perspective. 

I do not agree with stating that the younger public leaders are usually in effective. Because of a changing work force, evolution of generations has changed; never the less, young people entering the workforce alters their management styles in order to relate to older managers.

THE PUBLIC SPHERE

Three sources from the public sphere that indicate that young public leaders are usually effective because they have new generational structures, values and very strong communications have changed in organizations. Dodd (2012) states that, “Young Leaders Often Experience Initial and young leaders will experience struggle.” A lot of younger people must gain the respect of those that are well adapted as leaders, which some cause the young leader to fail. Keh (2009) states the factual truth that, “There have been so many great leaders who have failed not just once but several times in their lives, yet they have gone on to become revered icons in their respective fields.”
