Street children is one of the most important problems we face in our life because if they have problems they will affect the society because they are a part from this society. According to experts, ″street children are those who are under the age of 18 who spend most of their lives on the streets and they earn their living on the street but not necessarily live on the streets and they return to some form of a family unit where there is a some kind of control”(Kapoka,2000). The essay paper explores the major problems of street children focusing on its causes, effects and solutions.

The first cause be kind this serious problem is the ran away. According to experts, ₺ Tisoy ran away from his family for reasons he would not elaborate, as in the cases among the street children” (Evangelista Sonny,2004). The second cause is the force to work and according to experts, ₺SECTION 6 WORKER RIGHTS – [c] Some parents forced their children to work on the streets and to beg. And The children, who are working as shoeshiners, scale attendants and tissue sellers, took a break from their jobs for one day to take part in the protest. They chanted slogans against the building of the Ilısu Dam, which is threatening Hasankeyf.  The ancient city will be submerged under water if the dam is completed. They also carried posters which said “Street Children for Hasankeyf" and “Keep your dirty hands and your greedy desires away from Hasankeyf.” The children said that if Hasankeyf  is submerged under water, there will be no tourists visiting Batman.″ (Prevalence, Abuse & Exploitation of Street Children, 2000 to 2009). The third cause is poverty. Family that have poverty make their children work in the streets to have money and make their family live. The fourth cause is armed conflict and according to experts, ₺Free town (sierra leone) and Monrovia (Liberia), where parents or care takers have been killed, the economy disrupted and the community ties severed″. (Kapoka, 2000)
