Dear Lisa,

Being a stay-at-home mom puts stress on all women. The key is to find a balance, or happy medium, in order to maintain a happy, healthy household (Wallace, 2011). A life coach will be able to help you help yourself to do just that.

I want you to know that I have had a similar experience after having my first child. The day I went into labor was the day I stopped working in order to be at home with the baby. We both know that diapers and formula do not pay for themselves so my husband found a job working full-time. In the beginning it was a breeze only taking care of myself in the baby but after while there is that realization that there are other things that need to be taken care of, like housework or shopping for clothes because the baby has grown out of what he already has. After doing this for so long I found that there were more things I wanted to do, like go out and be with friends, or a date with my husband. These were things I assumed were impossible because I was a mother and I had always been told, “Once you have a baby you can kiss your social life and dreams good-bye.”

After some soul searching and research I found out that this did not have to be the case. After some time I was able to balance being a mother with being a housewife and a woman. I even found the time to go back to school in order to become a life coach. This is something you will be able to do too with my help. As a life coach I work as a mentor, or guide to help people like you make changes in their life. With my clients I help make a plan with several steps that will make their lives what they want it to be. Life coaches are great for those who wish to make a life change or simply need some direction. From the letter you sent me I know that you will benefit from this type of relationship.
